I loved it! I just didn't like how sudden/short the ending was - it was just a few paragraphs, and then it was over.

A few other things:
~The cop - why *did* he keep pulling the car over, the first time? It's not really important to the story, but just for realism... My theory was that he somehow suspected that Ricky was a killer [license plates, car model... something].
~If the woman was already dead and decomposing [the smell] in the car, why would the nurse say she died in the car? Hm...

But I thought the whole thing was very well done. Definitely suspenseful!

Very good story! The whole way through, I was wondering why he was so nervous. Very nice twist.
