This is nothing short of amazing. Well written and sad. I like it.

OMG...That's EXACTLY how I feel

The only issue I have is with the complete lack of apostrophes. Other than that I liked it, the step thing and the repetition worked really well and added something very unique to the piece. I also really loved the last two lines.

This is a tricky poem to write a review for.

I guess it's because it brings that wholehearted sense of agreement in the feeling conveyed and yet there's also an 'other knowing' that comes with years passing that this piece isn't the loss of something precious by malevolent hands, but by careless, unthinking ones.

I think that’s what strikes me the most about this piece. There’s no denying the damage done, but it was such an unnecessary thing.

Okay, back to the actual poem and not just the million thoughts it sent through my head. The poem had a rather interesting setup that works quite well. The use of steps, the repetition of 'skinnier prettier smarter better' and that of 'perfect' conveys both a sense of perceived neutrality and deep hurt that can only be expressed by being cold.

Step four makes the reader immediately wonder and confirm that one can die in fact by of failure or the shame thereof. And the last two lines are particularly exquisite and heartbreaking.

Overall, extremely well conveyed... yet saddening to read it when it acknowledges the experience the speaker had to go through.

This is very good...And I love the last line: 'was it seventy years too early or just eighteen too late?'

My only comment is that it just doesnt feel like a K poem, perhaps T.
