This is a beautifully tragic piece! I like it very much. It probably doesn't help that I'm a little heartsick myself, but this short work spoke volumes.

I love your use of descriptive words and imagery, and the final line actually made me sigh out loud. Definitely speakin' the truth to me!

On a sort of side note, I love that you started the whole thing with the word "and." There is no denying that something else, something massive was happening prior to this place and this time. And I love it.
