Yeah, I know what you mean- this does remind me of my own fairy-rhyme, except mine is a childish thing while yours has a sinister air as well. Sort of like those stories of some magic power that promises much on whose quest many perish. I really liked your poem.
P.S: Are you really 2 people? It sort of sounded to me like Gollum talking to himself...
