I can see this image so clearly... partially because a hurricane just blew through town and there were downed lines everywhere... but I think your comparison is perfect.

Sometimes a short story does just as good of a job of relating a feeling or moment then a lengthier one. I'm a fan of these short, brief moments between unnamed characters, and this is a good one. L
