diffident 8/30/08 . chapter 1Wow, fantastic poem. The poem is structured wonderfully, centering around the elements, which gives it a very wide view of the apocalypse. I love the end of the poem and the use of the caesura, even though it's a let-down-but that's the point of the poem. The four elements seem to culminate in the last verse, in the repetition of the similes: from air to water to fire to earth, and then to "you." Great job, once again. marie |
