You know, I don't really see the songs as trying to make people want to be like Barbie. Like the Barbie Girl song is just a total mockery of it in my opinion. Girls don't really sing that song as if they're living by the lyrics, it's a fun song to sing mockingly.

I do agree that it's sad how women are thought to have to be a certain way, but I'm not quite sure that the song was the best way to support that.
