O.O This was the most helpful thing to writing I've read (and understood) so far. Thanks for helping me on my cheery way on writing a novel. The weirdest thing was while reading this, I started mapping out the story of an idea I've been attached to. Mainly I made the main character bulimic. Time to read Red Moon Chapter 1. :D

zomg! that i think will help my writing a lot! like even if im only in grade seven. i want to publish a book before i die, and you never know when that will happen! and being in grade 7 is not an excuse for my crappy writing! lol i have good ideas i just cant describe people or have a good voacbualary or anything, you know? well anyway, i tihnk this will help me, since i got a better idea for the story im doing right now! i think im going to like have the same plot and stuff, but add a character, and change my character a bit, like... not be so emo...and change the love intrest... or for a few chapters anyway. so anywya, thank you! =)

Some of this advice is good, some really isn't. First of all, I disagree with editing a fan character, even if the end result is unrecognisable. The character still isn't yours. Use people from real life and flush out their eccentricities, or make someone up from scratch.
I agree with most of the rest, and it's sorely needed on this website. Good for you for having the guts to post this.
