Awe, that's so sad, particularly that last act of love. That's probably the way it would be aswell, kill it rather than lock him away those few days a month when he is actually dangerous. Too risky. Well written, short but got to the ppoint. Felt very sorry for both of them though obviously more the warewolf than the other guy.
