Isca 2009-03-25 . chapter 1HAHAHAHAHA! "His ankle was always killing him." Priceless. I love this grand allusion to 'Oedipus Rex.' |
AloneAndSearchingx3 2009-02-08 . chapter 1Haha. Loved it. Especially the part with the ankle and music part. |
Cicero Williams 2008-11-03 . chapter 1It's been a while since I've been on this site, but now that I'm back, I figured I'd take a look at some of your more recent work.
I gotta say, I'm glad I did!
I love references to myth and classical literature, and you did a very good job of portraying a classical character in post-modern light.
I have always wondered though... was the outcome his fault? Or was it fate? Surely, he did not know who his birth parents were. But then, is fate really at play?
I do love the classics. |
Ernest Bloom 2008-10-21 . chapter 1really funny; especially the bit about his ankle. |
This Modern Love 2008-09-23 . chapter 1the title really excited me, but the content sort of didn't. it's so overarchingly literal that there's no time for an interpretation. it's just there. and at a point of such strange stastis. better language and analogies and metaphors and whatnot. i'd like that much more. |
ThisThingCalledLife 2008-09-20 . chapter 1hahaha... This is awesome. I can totally see Oedipus in this situation (and it fits so fit). Great Work, CC! |
creepy kiss on tuesday 2008-09-19 . chapter 1Well thank you for the inspiration to look up Oedipus. He's in a Regina Spektor song that I'm infatuated with, also.
This is very interesting, I like it =]
You're much more talented than the majority of the people who use this site. |
october lies 2008-09-19 . chapter 1i fucking love this. oedipus rex was a good tragedy (unlike julius caesar), with a real plot behind it. great work. |
