I think that last part needs better punctuation, but that's just me personally. I love the ending though, really powerful.

This is a tragic, beautiful snapshot of a moment...so vivid--so helpless and truthful. Wow.

"Because darling: I don't know." Wow! What a great line! It was the perfect ending to this piece, as it left the reader full of questions, full of hopelessness, etc. Loved it! :)
