That first sentence is such a runon. You definitely need at least a semi-colon if not some periods as well.

I like the piece, nice alliteration and beautiful descriptions. I also like the Apollo reference, it worked well.

I really love this. It's rather elegant yet animalistic in its desire. Although I think the word "hopes" should be on the same line as "cherish."
