Ok, first, commas are important. If the sentence doesn't read right, it loses momentum.. "A year as his boyfriend and I had to walk in on that before he ended it." I kept reading this as "his boyfriend and I," and I couldn't figure out why Nathan was with Randy's boyfriend, it lost me, until I clicked.
Second, Nathan and Gabe made me smile, and for some reason I thought Georgette was a man. *smacks herself in the head* ..

This story was so nice. Out of 10 I give it a 9.5.

I really, really, REALLY loved this!! I love how well you developed the characters, and i love Nathan and I LOVE GABE snd the end was sheer squeeness and i loved it!!
You also have the most positive interpretation of the Georgette thing. No-one else made Georgette the friend. Well done.
