I think the ending is quite beautiful actually.. I really love this story!

I think it was a great ending, actually. Like you said, anything else would've just been unnecessary. That was so much better than I thought it would be when I read the summary. Very entertaining!

This was a wonderful, lovely ficlet. This would work wonderfully as a multi-chapter novel, if you develop the characters a bit more, make Emille a bit less Mary Sue-ish, and maybe put a bit more appearance and multi-dimensional personalities on Doctor Gideon and Thomas. Keep writing!
