I actually read this story the first day it came out, but didn't review, then felt back, then came back, found a second chapter and read it and finally reviewed.

First things first: You said Jesse's father was French Creole in the first chapter, but you also said he was of purely white ancestry. This is contradictory because "Creole" is French from Haïti and those islands down South, therefore black-skinned. I think the word you were going for is "Cajun", who were originally French Canadians from New-Brunswick-Nova-Scotia but who were kicked out by the Brits and sent to Louisiana in the mid-18th century. They're white and French.

I find it great that you're doing a Steve-story. I like diving into the minds of demented people. Like Dexter Morgan.

And we're starting to see more clearly what you meant in the afterword, how Steve had had bad experiences that lead him to pedophilia. We can already tell his night with the girl'll be disastrous. And I'm scared for Teddy...

When do you plan it to end? Before or after Dash, before Ganymede?
