wow, great piece. I'm glad you didn't resort to stereotypes, because it made the story a lot deeper. I'm a squeamish girl, so I almost tried to close my eyes when it got near the end, but I made it! and the end was really nice.. sort of peaceful. well done.

Hell of a story. It's good to see a military writer that doesn't rely on the caricatures that war stories often employ. Well written and good characterization.
