Gettysburg is a cool and sad place to visit. I was at all of those sights you talked about. It's true, the Civil War was brother against brother. I like how you mentioned heros on both sides. Many people only refer to one side.

i was never a big fan of history poems because they never capture my attention

this was no exception, the flow to me seemed to be off and it was an overall boring attempt but don't stop writing

Although history isn't exactly my cup of tea, I surprisingly liked this. You incorporated the dialogue well.
