I don't know that the quality of the story has gotten away from you. I very much think that you're still doing a wonderful job with it, and I hope that you'll be getting back to this soon, because I desperately need something to read and this story has become a favorite of mine. Cale and Azri are adorable together, and they deserve to have their story finished.

Please please please start writing again!

Aw, I still really do like this story. I honestly don't think the quality's declined very much; you're probably one of the best authors I've read on FP. It's just that the last few chapters have been al Azri and Cale without any action (um... meaning like danger and stuff, not THAT kind of action, because there's plenty of that :X). But at the same time, they deserve a few chapters together. They've been through a lot! It just seemed kind of sudden.

Anyway, like I said, I love this story. I have almost 400 stories favorited and have probably read a lot more that I haven't favorited. And I must say, this story and especially The Poisoner's Ring are on my mental top ten favorites list... perhaps in the top five. No, definitely in the top five.

So don't feel discouraged by any flaws or anything! You're a really good author and you have my support.

wow... just, wow. D: i know this sounds creepy but this story is like my new passion. it's so well written that i'm practically pulled into it, even though most stories i read seem to be hard to focus on after awhile. this chapter is definitely among one of my favorites out of the whole story, including the poisoner's ring. but they're all so good, too!

I just read through the poisoner series so far, and I read your note on your homepage. I still am enjoying the story. I have read quite a few stories whose writing and plot truly does decline as it goes along, but I would not say that yours is one of them. You are a very talented writer.

I just wanted to comment that perhaps you need merely to recapture the idea of where you are going with the story- what discoveries and encounters you want in the future, what the climax will be. These past few chapters have felt like a pleasant interlude, but not pointless. It's part of the relationship building. I would be very interested in some encounters occuring at the estate- other Rashallan (sp?) nobles or something, and somehow guide it towards how Azri could be a king like in the prophecy. Anyway, I know you are rewriting, but I hope to read more soon! And if you have changed much to the previous story when you next post a chapter, please leave a note advising that we re-read the preceding story.

I gave myself the longest time it's ever taken me to read two stories on fictionpress to read The Poisoner's Ring and Game simply because I didn't want to be disappointed when I came to the latest chapter...I don't know why I bothered taking so long when I was gonna get to the last chapter anyway...lol.

I normally don't read fantasy on fictionpress. I don't know why. But you're making me take interest in fantasy again. (I kind of stopped reading fantasy novels after 8th grade, for some reason. This excludes Harry Potter of course, as that can't count if you've been reading it since first grade.)

I absolutely ADORE this story (I'm including Poisoner's Ring in this). I love the characters; they're all so REAL because you've done so well at character development. :) I'll have you know, I cried when Ellicor died. That was just...not cool. :( I took a day break from reading because of that...lol.

You know you're reading something good when you have actual outbursts. I keep going, "NO CALE DON'T DO IT!" and "YOU DUMB **!" moments. Along with, "Aww Azri you're such a douchebag, I love you." lol

If I keep listing everything I've been thinking since chapter 1 of Poisoner's Ring, you'll be bored with my review. :) Suffice it to say, I LOVE THIS WHOLE...THING...You've got going on! Keep up the fabulous work! I'll continue watching and be a dutiful reviewer, as is my job whenever I find a great work of AWESOME such as this. ;)

I haven't read this in so long! D: But I felt the need to review on this chapter to congratulate you on creating what has become a favourite quote of mine: 'It's a ** Cale, not a death sentance'. I LOVE YOU XD

Again, really nice story. You are definitely progressing as a writer, I am impressed. Also, allow me to squirm around uncomfortably at the idea of Cale finding something horrible in there... (squirm squirm)

Things are starting to happen now...I love Cale & Azri in their current stage but ofcourse, things are going to get complicated, i'm sure. I loved the chapter as usual...see you two weeks later.

Does anyone else feel like this story and characters have changed since coming to this house? It almost as if its a completely different story.

Oh my. Yes, he is a silly boy... Cute and cuddly, yep. They do deserve a rest... so few main characters in stories tend to get them (It's also interesting to discover that your going-on-500-page story has taken place over about three or four days).
I bet that spell's gonna blow up in his face or something.
