I think you're doing a good job with the whole American high school cliché thing considering you're from Hong Kong. I like this story.

I saw one - what I assume is a - mistake in Chapter 9

"'Lizzie...' Jay started, and I strained my neck to look at him, raising an eyebrow questioningly. 'When Chase kissed you, did you feel anything...?' Jay asked nervously, shuffling his feet."

He's talking to Ashlie so, shouldn't it read,
"'Ash...' Jay started etc."?
