The words after the poem are going to stick with me so much longer, I think...

Now I wish I could pick up the phone and give him a reason why he's not as empty as he thinks.

I love the last two lines of this; somehow the images of ivory and a corset make the poem even lonelier than it already was. I'm not so sure about the cyanide bit, just because it's maybe a bit overly dramatic, but maybe that's the affect you were going for. A nice, simple poem, that says so much more. Keep writing! :)
