Hmm... more conceded people, and a little /too/ perfect for my tastes. Fan clubs? Full ride scholarships? While I understand a prestigious school is difficult to get into and warrants some levels of achievement there are other personality types that you can incorporate. But then it may get better and if it does please ignore this.
Also you may want to go back through the chapter... is Jinji really eight feet tall? "He comes in at about six foot, two feet shorter than me." Again, if he is you can ignore this but might I point out that it slightly improbable.
I am interested to see what happens with this girl though...

Um, wow... Tatsuya is a bit of a conceded ** to say the least. While the chapter was very in character, for me personally, it was kind of hard to read because I don't like those kind of people in the real world to begin with. I may have started off the story with a different character perspective first to sort of soften the blow of his, but if there is a reason as to why you chose for him to be the first thing that anyone reads of this story I would be very interested to hear it.
Other than my close-minded complaints of his character, I think you could add a little more description and it would really juice it up. ;)
