I just have a tiny critique for your list, Oregon and Washington are part of the northWEST, not eh northeast :) I live in Washington btw, lol, just thought I'd mention it, great story so far! I really like it! :)

one question though, how did gabe end up meeting icarus? or does that come out later in the story?

Oh my goodness, how sad for a small girl to live with that forever! Wow, my breath was taken away.
Just a note from the reader: i wouldnt bold the chapters unless it is for prologue or past tense reasons. it is sort of distracting to the eye.
but other thank that, very good! this story is bound to be super interesting!
