Coming from a 28-year old reviewer--I liked seeing the windows into Phire's life along with the fantasy. Same with Ri. The more human aspects the better.

With Gunther, I feel like maybe there's some inconsistancy? Because it starts out early saying he's an archeologist worried about losing his funding, and then it's clear that's not it at all.

It occurred to me to wonder about Hyoon Jin's lack of control over his powers--if his emotions dictate the weather, would Gunther's emotions have had the same effect if he had stolen the power? If so, would the power really have been desirable, given Gunther's personality?
