This piece is amazing. It's hit myu historical fiction need perfectly! (And I'm very glad it's done, although be assured I will review when I finish). I love how accurate it feels. The writing style is fantastic! Thank you for sharing!

Is this...the end?! I feel very fortunate to have been gifted with such a great story, but I think you must be a man because to have ruined the whole romance in the last chapter is...a very male thing to do. LOL After all this time, for Thorton to throw over Tangle (who has shown him the path to happiness) for some guy he just met...well, it flies in the face of my notions of true love! LOL This story would have been a perfect ten for me if the romance element had had a bit more of the standard slash elements, but even so, I enjoyed this story greatly, and thank you for writing and sharing.

I really think you should write and post more of this. :)) And fix the Tangle/Thorton! I mean, they didn't even get a chance to have *real* sex! LOL It should be a crime to just...break them up now!

This was an excellent chapter. Tangle's wife is a perfect character for this story. I love how you handled this.

Bravo!

OMG, I'm running out of chapter...noh!
tmelange1 2008-12-31 . chapter 41
>>"I go where Isam Rais goes," Thorton replied.

I love it! :)) Bravo!

>>"Touch my ship and I'll blow you a new **!" Thorton bellowed at Kasim. "Translate that, Mr. Kaashifa."

LMAO! Go Thornton. :))

Bravo!

Nice to see Perry again, particularly for the reaction he elicits from Tangle. LOL

Bravo!

I like the weaving of Islam into this story. It is respectfully done, and joyously enacted. Bravo!
tmelange1 2008-12-30 . chapter 31
>>He would appear spineless if he allowed the moody Englishman back into his good graces too easily. He waited a full twenty minutes.

LMAO. A whole 20 mins! :))
tmelange1 2008-12-30 . chapter 28
Aw. Tangle kidnapped him. :) But, geez, Thorton needs to learn how to control himself. He surely is his own worst enemy.

Bravo!
tmelange1 2008-12-30 . chapter 27
LMAO. Poor Tangle. Can't hold his liquor. I hope he puts a hole in that bastard Bishop, though. :)

And I think Thorton should get more accolades for saving Tangle's life. If not for Thorton, he would have drowned a slave. He owes Thorton his life. I'm not sure if he's thanked him...properly. LOL
tmelange1 2008-12-30 . chapter 25
This story is so well developed that I feel like I should be paying you to read it. LOL I really do like the pacing. The story has never seemed too slow to me. Everything is fully fleshed out, and moves apace when appropriate. That, in particular, impresses me.

Bravo!
tmelange1 2008-12-30 . chapter 12
Is Captain Tangle going to die of this galley fever thing? Say it ain't so! I like him!

Bravo on this. I'm totally riveted, so much so that I'm going to be ill prepared for that meeting I have tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn because I can't stop reading...
tmelange1 2008-12-30 . chapter 11
Okay, who are you who can write something this good? LOL This should be a movie. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this chapter. I don't think I've read anything this exciting in...a long ** time. LOL Effing bravo!
tmelange1 2008-12-30 . chapter 6
This is all so wonderfully interesting! Bravo!
