Moon-Chaser 2008-11-16 . chapter 1A very good question, one I don't think really has an answer, we learn it from others, from within ourself and most of the time we forget what we learn, we are human and our nature is to be selfish.
I really like the way that you have expressed yourself.
Keep it up. |
A Sensuous Darkness 2008-11-13 . chapter 1Good question. One I am stuck with also.
You have to learn to give your own meaning to things, she said to me the other day. I asked: what happens when you have no meaning left to give? I told her I was dying and we talked a little about medication and then before we knew it chatty time was over and it was back to class.
Is this aging? I think I'm a little young to worry about life's thrills going bland. It's closer to depression and despair. The search for meaning is central to who we are as human beings. It is our greatest torment and the greatest source of hope and survival.
Your poem is very eloquent and has a solid, consistent rhythmical foundation. I am struggling currently with writing my own poetic expression of similar themes and I wanted to sound off (rambly manic depressive) and reach out, lost to lost, through the cosmos. |
