I feel so incredibly happy that this story has been updated. Opal's stream of thoughts are refreshing. It's so sad that it's not easy for them even after they ran away. I hope things will turn out better for them.

Reading about their relationship sent lots of fluttering in my stomach. Their “secret” was so heart warming and unique. It was touching and beautiful. Your descriptions of events come out so alive, that I can clearly picture everything.

this story is simply amazing... no joke, i dont think i've ever read anything like it, and i love it!! my mom use to work with atistic (idk if i spelled that right) kids and your story doesnt have anything in there thats not true. i dont know if you did anyy reserch or not, but it looks like you did. on top of that its got an awesome plotline so far and i've really really enjoyed reading it, so keep it up.

It's okay. So, she's autistic, so she pulls back into herself when she feels alone and scared. Sometimes she does it when she is bored. And one day, she might pull into herself and never pull out. BTW, why does she have that scar on her chest? Where did it come from?

It's just mild autism. It's not terrible, like some people have it REALLY bad, but she's got it, nonetheless. She looks a little different than I guess a normal person would, but it's just due to her "condition".Anyway, thanks to everyone for your continuous comments! I really appreciate them! your story intrigues me but confuses me a bit much at the same time. Its different because of her situation but other than the fact that her mother is abusive...it appears that everyone implies that she has some sort of...other issue...disease or disorder or something and i was wondering if you were going to reveal what it is. It also seems that he may have some sort of...i don't want to call it a problem soo...issue maybe...like when you say they wait for each other to vent as if its common or something ..but i wouldn't call them bipolar or anything...idk that's what confuses me..its like there's a background that you haven't revealed yet but nevertheless I'm still drawn to the story soo...update soon plz =)

I love the story and all but I can't seem to figure out if they're dating or not. I know Opal said that he wasn't her boyfriend but was she just saying that? Cause best friends usually don't say I love you as often as they do.
