This was a beautiful story. It was full of imagery -a trait which I have yet to acquire, and am very jealous of!:)-- I love how you described not only the sceneary, but also how the characetrs felt.

"The dolphin figure attached to the blue phone strap felt cold against his palm". This line is beautiful in so many ways. It uses subtext, so the reader can make inferences about the meaning behind it --another trait which I have yet to acquire and am jealous of :).

I love how time plays an important part in all of this. In which each passing month and year adds to the detail and musicality of the piece. Lines like "Eight months ago" and "Six months ago" help to show the passage of time, without being contrived.
