sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 10Damn it Creech! I feel like he could have done something different to help Pomeroy out and avoid this whole thing happening. And wait a second, I thought Allen joined the socialists because his sister was one, not the anarchists. I thought his sister didn't even like anarchists (not that Allen would know that).
This was a good story though and I really enjoyed reading it. The ending wasn't too terribly depressing (unlike Grey and Aidan's story) and the whole rebellion part of the plot was pretty interesting. The character were all pretty cool, especially the males. At the end of the whole thing, Pomeroy was probably my favorite. I really want to know more about his and Creech's past together. There was obviously a lot of story there that didn't make it in to this. Wonderful job on this story, and even without revisions to the last two chapters, it still is very effective. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 9NO! So many people died in this chapter. It was rather saddening. Admittingly, the only one I was really sad about was Pomeroy. I liked his speech there at the end. Go go Mr. Pomeroy! On the final version of this, I'd try to make the deaths more dramatic. Unless you're not going for dramatic. And I was disappointed Allen joined the mob at the end. I wanted him to go crazy on them and take down as many as he could before he eventually got killed. Now on to the last chapter to see how this ends. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 8The ending made me laugh for some reason. It was probably how bluntly Allen said it. Mila's kind of evil, not that I feel sorry for Penny or anything. She was just a bit too happy with the idea of Penny being killed though.
I know you said something about it in the author's note, but the italicized part was a bit confusing. Was it suppose to be a flashback of sorts in the form of Pomeroy's dream.
Aw, Garret's such a cute little boy. You better not kill him off. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 7Ah ha ha, so Creech and Pomeroy were a couple at one point. I'd really like to know more about there backstories. They, along with Allen, are such interesting characters.
This chapter was a bit depressing. Poor Pomeroy. I sense tragedy approaching. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 6NO! Don't take Penny and that other guy with you. It'll end badly!
The whole capatalist vs. socialist thing seems a bit silly, but I've never been a very politically minded person. It does make for a good plot element though.
And I still have my suspicions about Isa. I find it hard to believe she's acting purely out of love for Pomeroy. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 5Aw, more cuteness between Allen and Garret. That answers my question about his age. It's a bit sad for an eight year old to be thinking such depressing thought.
The scene at the beginning with the rebels made me like Penny a lot less. Does Allen and Penny know what the other is up to. It seems like there would be a lot of conflict if they did. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 4Pomeroy went all crazy there at the end. And Creech is coming off as quite the magnificant bastard.
The scenes with Allen and Garret were adorable, especially the one at the school. They're probably my favorite characters so far, with Creech close behind. How old is Garret? |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 3What is the setting of this story? It seems modern day if it has televisions, but it has an 1800's feel to it at the same time. I'll assume it's just an AU of the modern day world.
Isa, you sly dog. Stealing money from the poor drugged-up man. Is she suppose to be a Russian communist or something?
Pomeroy/Creech baby! Due to Mila's comments in the last chapter, I was sort of expecting Pomeroy to ask Creech to sleep with him there at the end. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 2The dysfuntional couple continues to amuse me. Way to have a backbone, Mila. I can't help but feel bad for their kid though. Creech (nice name BTW) is also an amusing character. I'm especially curious as to what his and Allen's relationship is. And just more about Allen in general.
Way to change the scene before it got all smutty. I'm not really sure what I think of Isa yet. She seems a bit slutty so far, and her relationship with Pomeroy doesn't seem like it would be very genuine. |
sydchan 2009-09-20 . chapter 1I forgot how much I like your style of writing. You use such nice imagery and descriptions. Why is it that I don't read more of your stuff.
Allen seems like a sweetheart, but it's still to early to know for sure. He does kill assassins though, so he's probably not completely nice. Pomeroy also seems like a fun character. I really liked the exchange between him and Allen at the beginning. It had a nice master/servant feel to it, even if that's not what their relationship is.
And you and your obsession with dysfunctional couples. |
laughingwaves 2009-01-12 . chapter 10Excellent story!! Sorry I haven't read in a while, I've been busy. I really like the very last part, it is intense. I'm glad Rita is getting taken care of by soneone other than a hit man!! I got really involved in this story. Thanks for such a wonderful story, I enjoyed it so much. I hope you start on something else soon. |
laughingwaves 2009-01-12 . chapter 9Oh! Pomeroy went crazy. I'm so sad :-( Allen is a bit of a traitor but I feel bad cuz his sister died! I can't believe that he had to watch her die!! |
laughingwaves 2009-01-12 . chapter 8Wow!! Poor Pomeroy is so gulible. I love Garret! He's so cute!! I like this chapter!! |
SirScott 2009-01-09 . chapter 10Wow, is that the end? Overall its been a pretty good story.Things really worked out for Creech. He ends up with a house, keeps his wife, and gets a job. The moral could be that the self serving ones always win.

SirScott 2009-01-09 . chapter 9Wow, the body count really starts clicking in this chapter. It's hard to say who the good guys are and the bad ones. The workers and the bussinessmen do need each other. There really isn't a solution to life's problems.
