The idea of December always puts me in a sad sort of mood and this poem really reminds me of that. I really love how you worked together mundane actions with the emotions in this poem and the overall tone is just bittersweet & beautiful. Take care.

I like how you connect what the car is doing (the steering wheel and the windshield wipers) to what you are thinking at the time; I especially liked the first three lines. One question - the last line says 'december's come and gone' - was it written a month in the future or almost a year in the past?
