Lovely! Very satisfying on the whole.
The characters, I think, could have been brought out more -- there wasn't too much character development in there. But that's about the only thing. The plot is thrilling, really good, kept me reading for ages, but what I really, really admire and like about this fic is how you managed to draw everything together so nicely. It's excellently paced and you have a really fantastic way of putting things, like that last scene. It wasn't too abrupt and it wasn't too draggy..how do I say this? It was really nice. Really satisfying, you wrapped it up beautifully. :) Faving.

What a wonderful story. I loved the languorous pacing and realistic dialogue. I also appreciated that your characters eat. It's surprising how often one reads stories in which characters never eat, especially considering how much is said and done while eating in real life. Thank you.

Ah! I just started reading this story yesterday. I got to your profile because Ocotillo mentioned you in Esperanza's first chapter and I figured I had to check out the beta of such a wonderful story.

You know, at the beginning, I thought it was going to be HankXEthan, because romantic interests are usually introduced pretty early in the stories I've read, but I was slightly dismayed because HankXSam already seemed too good to tamper with. Then I went back and read the summary and was happy. ^^

I live in San Francisco and grew up in the Sunset and it was so exciting to finally read a story that referenced places that I actually know about and can visualize in my mind's eye! I didn't notice this was set in SF until Ethan and the others started referencing 19th and all the other street names and districts. ^o^

I'm delighted by the slow building attraction between Ethan and Beau and I'm intrigued by the plot and really want to know what Beau can do for Ethan. Will continue reading!

Oh my, I really loved the ending! I'm glad that they sorted everything out! And I agree with a previous reader: I teared up at the end. Now, I feel quite sad because this lovely story is finished. Is there hope for something more? I don't think so, but I had to ask.
I will repeat myself, but I want to tell you just another time thatI really loved this story and that you have made a good job!

Wow, just a really short comment because I really don't have much time right now: I am going to China next Sunday for a year, so it was really special for me to read the last chapter because somehow I feel really similar: it would be easier just to stay at home with the people who love you but in the same time you really want to try something new, want to prove yourself that you are able to do something- in his case riding a bike across the US, in mine living alone in China for a year. Its frightning and exciting at the same time.

I honest to God teared up at the end here! Excellent work!

But Loved the chapter. I liked how you described the situation, with all the awkwardness and insecurities that necessarily comes with such a terrible thing. I liked small details like that Ethan didn't want Beau to be present for the medical examination but preferred Sam. It is things like this that make the story for me so psychologically convincing.
The situation between them is so extraordinary. They don't really know each other that long and have their own problems and so they don't yet have the necessary intimacy to have the knowledge how to handle this situation.
So continue the good work, I'm very excited to read more about them!

PS: if I don't regularly review it doesn't mean that I stopped reading or didn't like the chapter, but I am sometimes away for several days or I have exams or something like that and therefore no time for reviewing.

I seriously hope that Ethan won't leave! By the way, another great chpater: I loved how you conveyed their feelings. I felt that I could touch their uncertainty. Thank you for updating so soon!
