this is beautifully heartbreaking.

"I can't strip myself of the control." That's exactly why the speaker is anorexic: because her weight is something that she CAN control, even when her life is spiralling OUT of control, and she wants to hang onto that sense of empowerment with all of her might.

"'Cause dinner doesn't cost a dime." Wow. I really like the tone of this line; it's as if the speaker's parents care more about money than they do their own daughter's health & well-being.

Haha wow this particular one struck me. I'm liking this series so far, but feel they've been hacked up unnecessarily, I would prefer them in a more seamless format. Not that it's awful the way it is, at all, it's just a bit like: start, abrupt finish, next one, vague attachment and recollection of previous one, same rough mood, repeat process..?

i love love love love LOVE these. I relate so much to ED poetry because of my own personal struggle. You capture the love and hate of this sickness so well. I really love your open acknowledgement of the hypocrisy found in the mind of an anorexic. Well done, much personal love

i feel as though this person has had problems all her life and that they feel as though out of all the crap that they've lost control of their weight is the only thing they can control. i love it all the same

I love this collection, especially "Cake" and "Be Your Thinspiration". The simplicity of your poems make the impact on the reader even bigger. Great job!

But you might want to change the name at the very last bit. "Loli." Loli is a slang term used on the internet for Lolita, which is referring to a book in which a man falls in love with a young girl. Girls that are called lolis are in child porn, or in hentai depicting child porn.

I’m not anorexic, per say, but I completely understand. my interest in food is similar to my interest in tar production. slim to none.

I enjoyed reading this collection. its an old subject that little said about.
