I really like this story, but I'm having a wee bit of a hard time following it when it's always in Narr's point of view as first person. I'd love to see where this goes though... The Nutcracker's always been a favourite story of mine!!

I enjoyed the description of Magnolia, and am fascinated by the description of the evil creatures that live there. My inner sadist hopes we get to meet them.

Actually I'm intrigued by the whole thing, although I'm not overly familiar with the story of the Nutcracker.

I like the way you write though: it's very light hearted and a bit tongue in cheek. I espeacially liked the paragraph about things changing where you made the comment about sugar being less white.

I'll try and get back to read more.
