First, I don't think this is an essay. It's either General, or Biography. This plays out like a story, not an essay. You do not argue for anything, you speak about how you feel. Granted rants are accepted as essay here but that is different.

Second, I like the two reasons given as to why it'd suck to leave. I could identify with those.

Third, I suggest you cut down with the adverb usage. It doesn't add to the writing, it just waters it out.
