Joshua Stephens 2009-05-04 . chapter 16Once again, an excellent chapter! I really do love your style of writing, and I'm certainly glad to see this new chapter up so soon! You've really got me intrigued as to the story, and where exactly it's going. Not only that, but what insidious mishaps will meet the band of merry (if slightly cynical) misfits next! In places it begins to remind me of The Princess Bride (one of my all-time favorites), with the witty, rapid-fire retorts that pop up here and there, and especially the naming conventions, notably The Caves of Infinite Terror, which were quite terrifying. At times I almost expected an interjection by Peter Falk that noted that a character doesn't die. In fact, there was a note of yours in one of the chapters much to that effect. Little things like that greatly amuse me.
Personally, I think the idea of a middle sister, "Off White," to be utter brilliance. That, amongst other things, really serves to capture (and hold with the utmost audacity) my attention and interest. Do continue keeping up the good work (play?)!

Joshua Stephens 2009-05-04 . chapter 15Absolutely fantastic! Reminds me slightly of Piers Anthony's Xanth novels, only less pun-ridden. Bally well done! I love the humour, the consistency of character, the development of the same, and the slight off-colourness occasionally. How can I persuade you to provide us mortal souls with a new chapter soon? |
