BAH! so many mixed emotions about this chapter I'm happy that Alexander and Violet are together again but so sad that Gloom died he was my favorite character, but overall it was very good! and I have a feeling Alexander's and Violet's relationship isn't going to be easy

This new side of Alexander is... weird. I like it.

It was sort of odd having him calling Violet 'honey bunny', tough.

*cries* I was so happy when Alexander came back and then Gloom's death just killed me... I'm sorta going back and forth between feeling sad, and feeling like life's completely unfair, and how could they possibly kill him over something so stupid, and how can there be no more Gloom? And then moving on to more philosophical things like who the fuck created war in the first place and what was he/she smoking at the time? Gr

this is the first decent story ive read in two weeks! the plots awesome, with a dream maker and a book warm of dark apriceation. minimal spelin errors, but whos dosnt have um.

I'm so glad that Violet didn't stay in the regular world that long! I was so happy when *boom!* Alexander walked through the school door and swept Violet off her feet! I can't wait to see what happens next!

I'm glad Violet's got a little progress in the real world to go with her subconscious development. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

This story is getting more exciting by the chapter! Your characters are inventive, plot is amazing, language is descriptive, and as a bonus, you have great spelling/grammar!

O0...I don't think I was expecting anything that happened in this chappie. Exept for maybe the evil Dream-Queen trading Armand and Alex for the jewel, everything in this update suprised me as if I'd been told a snake had been hiding in my keyboard for the last month.

Okay, don't ask me where I got that metaphore. Please don't ask...

And thank you so so so so so very much for answering my questions. :D Some of them have just been bothering me to no end, so that's why I put them out there.

Even though she's no longer in the Isle (but I do believe she'll be returning sooner or later, right?) I still loved seeing her reunion with her father. That was such nice scene that I almost felt like I was intruding on something only to be shared between family. Even though I knew the reunion would be coming, I still loved reading it none the less, and I can't wait to read what happens next in Violet's story. :)

And about your choice in literature...I love Edgar Allen Poe! My favorite poems by him are, as follows: The Raven, Lenore, Annabel Lee, To My Mother, Tamerlane, Spirits of the Dead, and The Haunted Palace. As for his stories, I love them all, but The Tell-Tale Heart, Premature Burial, The Black Cat, The Fall of the House of Usher, and Masque of the Red Death have to be my favs.

On another note, I'm sure you've heard of Dean Koontz, but have you ever read his anthology, "Strange Highways?" It's mainly a collection of dark stories ranging from supernatural suspense/horror, to sci-fi fiction, to modern crime/suspense. I'm not sure if it can be easily found at the bookstore, considering the original, hard cover anthology was released in 1995, but if you do come across it, it's a great read.

But one more question about your book before I conclude: when did you start getting the idea to write this book? You said that Violet's character was the reason you started reading gothic literature, and you seem to have read quite a lot of it. So how long has this story really been in the works? Just curious. Really, I am. :D
