This is haunting, and beautiful. The vagueness regarding the nature of the disease and what precipitated the conflict is frustrating, but it works because it matches the sense of frustration and confusion the characters feel. Lots of thumbs up.

That was poetic. Not so much in wording, but in concept, and imagery. I found it very interesting that you could combine any actual romance with such bleakness. Well done.

creppy, but awsome. This is the second story i read for the same challenge and they are so complotly different it's amazing. This was a really great stroy, especialy cuz it's so thought provoking...anyway, great job, i really enjoyed it.

I liked it. Even if it's sort of depressing or really depressing. I imagine it must be horrible... living in a world like that one... so sad.

xD I like how mine and yours for this challenge end so differently. Mine ends with stepping inside and yours with stepping outside. Neat, huh?

Shai is cute and I want one to lead around on a leash. When people ask why I'm doing that, I'd just say, "Because I can" and he'd nod a little and maybe cry.

Poignant. Somehow uplifting despite the bleakness. The setting's intriguing, too. I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic stories.

That was freaking awesome O_O Have I mentioned how much I love your writing lately? Because I do. A lot. I really loved the idea for this...and the characters. Shai was just SO CUTE! I wanted to hug him. I'm surprised Leigh didn't get killed off! I was convinced that kiss would do him in, somehow. I'm glad he didn't die. I loved the ending ^^ Okay, I loved the whole story. But you know that already.

everybody's doing f-o-s's challenges now. i've seriously read like, all of them. at least ten stories i've read are all "floaty men" and suicide and phantasmogoria. it's interesting.

and then there's the old one with georgette. which amused me.

i liked it. anyway. it was cute :)
