Reviews For: Confession
Isca 2009-05-21 . chapter 1
It's interesting that this piece emphasizes generational religious belief--the daughter, the father, the old man. The ending is a bit comedic, in a dark sense, but the 'drowning' imagery is very sad.

That is just really sad. That is all I have to say. Good job. Please read and review my stuff.

Hm...very interesting. I like how it makes the reader think, because most haikus are just a statement of something in a different perspective. I also like how you said "father's daughter," because, upon reflection, we realize that it isn't any old father - it is a priest, a concept reinforced by the holy water. Do the time and date have any significance? Nice work.

boys kiss girls 2009-01-16 . chapter 1
Although this has very dark undertones, it made me smile because it's so classically you. I love the link between grey and water, and I love the basic anti-religion idea behind it. It is tragic, as I do believe that religion, in its purest sense, is a good thing, but it does easily become corrupted. I also like the use of the daughter as it symbolizes the new way of doing things rather than the father's "outdated" style, whether she's religious or not.
