I must say that I think you should have made all 3 chapters into 1 chapter as they are all rather short (in the case of chapter 1 too short). Also in chapter you you wrote "he ouldn’t help but smirk" I think you mean't to type "he couldn't help but smirk" Apart from these small points I think you have made a good start and will happily read more once it is done.

Hm. For an introductory chapter, I would have a liked a bit more to go on.

Despite that, I like that the scientist 'smirked'. I am assuming it was because of pride; which is much more interesting than one who being smiling optimistically because he's going to save the world or something.

I'm curious to see what the world leaders will say about his invention. Please continue!
