Intense. I like it.

i have a story involving sulfur.
i walked down that street
because i was forced
to accept the damnations of
a harried bus driver
in repent, i have forgiven her

the smell is like a block
literally down memory lane
where every ragged breath in
forced to remind me the wall;
the exhaust of his van
smelled and burned in my lungs
on the first cold day in winter
and how i ran, feeding energy
off the tainted oxygen
and it took me until now
to realize sulfur was not
to blame.

sulfur was a victim,
and it revolts against my
throat.
even now i am sick
only because the feeling
is stuck in my chest
and im still running after all

"And I will prevail." Good God! This line is incredible--striking, haunting, chilling! It ties into the dark imagery in the first stanza so well!

"Never get caught, and leave him begging." Brilliantly brutal--a glimpse into the fascinating nature of the human psyche.
