This is beautiful. You created a really vivid image, as well as an accurate and powerful metaphor. I really like the lines "Some can't find the matching pieces, so they put them back where they were found and walk away." as it describes both the metaphorical way people act, and how people aptly handle broken, lost, or confusing things in real life.
