Aw. I thought this was really sweet! But then as I was reading through it, though the idea is good, it seems to breeze by really fast. I think more description for each year would be better, instead of just a few lines. But, if you meant to write it that way, it's still okay(:

The beginning--where Ben was looking for a definition of love for years--was a bit impractical (especially for a kid) and so it was difficult to get attached and into the story. Like when Ben asked the teacher what love was. All second graders have a concept of love in some form or another. (Granted, I haven't read the one that comes before this but if I had I may have already been on Ben's side and relating to him.)
The ending however, was amazing. It was so sweet I actually reread just the end to get that lovely little 'aw' moment again.
