The ending does seem to come out of the blue; you might expand the piece, to give a little more build-up. Otherwise, I thought the story worked really well; it has a really vivid culture, which I'd like to see more of.

I really liked this. You do stylistic omissions - leaving out things which aren't relevant to the story - very neatly, and the title is a cool subversion of the stereotypical 'tin soldier.' ... And I'm a sucker for cute stories. :)

I'd like to see more of this too; it seems like there's a lot more to the characters than is shown in this scene, which transcends the stereotypical 'choose your spouse or your lover' situation well.

It's an interesting concept, but the language is confusingly used.

I think this is a really interesting piece, in terms of plot. The style, though, can be a little confusing - you juxtapose a lot of archaic and modern phrasing, which makes the narrator's voice a bit hard to follow.

I liked this; the more morbid versions of fairy tales tend to be entertaining, and I think it translated pretty well into a modern setting.

The ending felt a bit rushed, though, especially Camilla's feelings - Camilla was probably the most fleshed out character in most of the piece, but she's almost cut out of the ending. Likewise, it would have been interesting to see more of Sunshine's motivations - both in ignoring Jason, and in general.

Yay! Fun story, despite the angst. Gay fairies is the best, most awful pun ever. I'd love to see a continuation of this.

Really, really cute story.

This was really interesting. I liked that the world was so vivid. It could have been longer, and I'd like to see more of it, but Clairi was an interesting character.
