wow! I love this story, it "clicks" and it's amazing and just makes me want to gush about endlessly :P
..and then I checked your profile and saw that you were the one who wrote The God Eaters and I just died, that's one of the best things I've ever read, I remember reading almost in one go, because I just couldn't stop...
You're one amazing writer!!
Stardustangel 2009-11-09 . chapter 1
This story is so beautifully constructed with the stream of consciousness narration and imagery. The character is very easy to relate with. It was a pleasure to read, I hope you will share more stories with us in the future.

This story is full of awesome.

Even though this review is not.

SOB. I love that. You have the best concepts ever. Also, your style of writing is very pretty~ reminds me a little of Murakami, it's kinda realistic but then put in a different, unrealistic way...I'm not sure I know what I'm talking about, but yeah.
HurtMe 2009-09-19 . chapter 1
This piece is absolutely beautiful. Your style as a writer is incredible. I like the way you show a broad span of Henry's life, slowly walking us through his journey through maturation and acceptance. Beyond that, you've found just the right words to leave a profound emotional effect - leaving the reader feeling something they can't quite identify. But it's very satisfying. Great job with this.

I didn't like much of what Henry did in the first half, two thirds, but I still liked him.

Stefan is his other half, accepting him unconditionally, allowing him to change.
Cocaine Cowgirl 2009-03-10 . chapter 1
This was beautiful. It was thoughtful and thought-provoking; I love your lyrical narrative and I love Henry and I love Stefan. To be honest I'm a little surprised it had a happy ending, but it felt right.
Thank you for the meaningful read. =]

This... is very, very, very cool. Such a lovely atmosphere all the way through, and such a satisfying sense of peace at the end.
I.Wannabe.Classy 2009-02-13 . chapter 1
Whoa - that is.. very very different from the usual storylines and slash fics..
it's incredible :DD
Setsuna-Jikan 2009-02-08 . chapter 1
This was excellent. I love how it ends like it began, I like Henry's oddity, I love his crazy shadow thing. And I love Stefan's zen-ness.

This was quite brilliant.

This story is absolutely gorgeous, and kind of makes me want to paint something. It also helped bring me out of the funky broody angry mood I've been in all day, so thanks for that.
Xelli 2009-02-05 . chapter 1
That was almost lyrical and read kind of like a fairy tale. The desire for ordinariness and difference was balanced nicely.

Minor nitpick first: there's a typo in the third sentence: Like a second tree trunk blockng the streetlight

I confess that I didn't think I was going to care for this story at first, as the narrative voice didn't seem to match the age of the child, but as Henry grew up he grew into his voice, and I could begin to see what Stefen saw in him. You manage to convey a lot of personality in a very sparse tone—it's absolutely lovely. Granting how much I hate this particular writing style (there are authors I flatly refuse to read on the basis of them not using quotation marks to indicate dialogue), you've achieved something serious in making me love this so much. Well done. :)

When I was little, I used to think I could make the ceiling fan turn in time to music in my head. :D
