Halfway through, I thought of Donnie Darko. Not in an "omg, you ripped off Donnie!" type of way. Just, the whole super-natural only-he-sees-it type of thing.

Which brings me to a question that I asked about Donnie, as well.

Honestly, my first thought was something like,
"Where. The hell. Are Lucifer. Tyr. Beau. And Ezra. AND WHO ARE THESE CRAZY GHOST KIDS?"

But. On further inspection
(meaning, once my original chara craving was satisfied)
I realized that the addition of more characters HELPS it. It makes it seem more like a large high school and less "his own little world".

So, I was a little worried for a while because the story didn't seem to be going anywhere fast and it made me muy sad inside because it had changed a lot more than I originally thought. ;;
But now, I have been just...slapped in the face.
With awesome.
You have a wonderful way with words without even trying hard. It's a very casual voice that is so unique and frankly increasingly compelling the more I read. I feel like I'm Vincent (wierd?) going through all this craziness (which I love, by the way).
The whole detached from the world thing...and the illusions and symptoms. It's all very original and it makes we want to keep reading. The dialogue also sounds so natural.
It kind of makes me think of a hip indie movie. Like one that not a lot of people know about, but is just so utterly amazing--while managing to be the most confusing thing ever, but in a way that you can almost relate to. I really can't explain it well enough, I suppose...
And I'm sorry my review is so long. This chapter...just really hit me I guess. c8

I liked it! It is a lot better than most of the stuff on ficpress! Your imagery is quite vivid and Vincent seems very realistic! Keep up the good work! I would love to read chapter two if there is one!
