I love the initial idea for the story a case of the Mondays as you put it. The feel of real life is strong with the maddening weather channel and the the dog's time bombs. My favorite line of the whole chapter is -"You wish you could tell these people just how much you hate them right now, but the plans you have to do so would be politically incorrect and socially inappropriate." I couldn't hold back the giggles at this point and I bust out laughing.

I can't wait for New York. Extra props for using 2nd person nicely.

That was very good. I liked the second person, even though that normally doesn't work, but you pulled it off. It was funny, but not in a slapstick kind of way. The humor was just right, especially when you had the list of excuses. Loved it.
