For such a short poem, this has a surprisingly steady rhythm! I'm impressed. That made the poem easy to read and have an interesting flow to it.

I love the abrasiveness of the last line: "than when I look just like a **". That last word kind of has a bitter ring to it. The emotion in this was well expressed. And I enjoyed reading because of that.
