Good story! I like that it's different from the usual YA story and that it's centered on a gator. I've never read a story centered on one before and so far this one is good.

Couple things to look out for: small errors like putting "usually" instead of "unusually" (last paragraph), it helps to edit stuff before you put it up. Also, I would've liked if you'd separated the two chapters.

Otherwise I really like this story so far and I can't wait to see where you go with it.
