This has got to be the most brilliant story I have read. This would be the type of book that I would buy and I would dog-ear and read countless times and tape the pages back together and let my grandchild read. And I just want to thank you for writing it. A person who provokes so many thoughts and fears and hopes in a person through a story deserves to be thanked. I loved this story. I truly loved it.

That was the most beautiful story i have ever read. I loved every bit of it. The metaphors, concept of the afterlife made into something so tangible yet surreal , your writing style; so detached but brings out so much emotions. I feel like every chapter was intricately crafted and brilliantly tied together. I am able to understand and experience your take on life through your writing which makes this a very special piece of art. Thank you for writing this and sharing your perspective and insight. I un-alerted this a long time ago because I thought you were finishe with it, even though the ending was unsatisfying. I'm glad I found it again and actually read the story. It's really really good.

I love the feelings of (and i hate to call it this after reading this chapter) loss. It's so easy to feel as if someone close has actually died, well done! it's a very difficult thing to do writing in third person and especially without it sounding sobby or drawling (which yours didn't in the least)

just one typo that i can spot, towards the end "They maid a strange pair" maid should be made.

I don’t know what to say about this chapter…. But I think I’m slightly in shock from the fact that this *is* the last chapter, so it’s turning my mind to mush.

I liked how you chose not to go into a religious themed ending - via the pearly gates - or something. I feel that your story has religious themes as a whole, but I’m glad that you didn’t subscribe to the easy way, as it were, and end it like that.

I feel like I want more time with Quinn and Fern, I love them, like they love each other, like I love cake, if you will. Like I’ve said before this is publishable work - you’re around 60,0 words so you’re just a hair above a novella, but I think this would make an excellent book. And please believe me that I’m not trying to sound clichéd, but I would so buy it, and read it multiple times, before placing it on my shelf (a place of homage).
