maybe it's because of my experiences but it shaped my reaction to your poem. i was sympathetic to the person you were rejecting. i knew why you needed to break away but somehow the narrator comes off callous because of the words written and general tone i gotten from reading. overall, the poem was , i didn't connect with it though.
