I think I like the ending...

I thought parts of this were very beautiful, particularly the weaving of the tapestry "now vibrant and heavy with the weight of his burgeoning love". However I also found parts of it confusing, but that's just my take on it and hey it's two in the morning and all that. I think I feel a little depressed now actually. No matter. I enjoyed the read and found your writing to be mature, and very interesting.
